JAMIE SNEIDER
Part of a series of abstract paintings created by soaking raw canvas in a caldron of liquid that includes squid ink, bleach, coffee and food dye. Describing her process, Ms. Sneider says, “I stir the pots wildly with a stick.” She beats the canvases with sticks and dances on them as if she were a witch channeling magical energies into the paintings. - New York Times, June 19, 2014
